Spring is in the Air!

Don't you just love that crinkled up nose!

Slides, Swings & Other Silly Things

While in Lumberton we had the chance to play at this great new park not far from my parents house. We loved this park so much we went once with Ian and then back the next day with my friend Lori and her little ones.

Cousins

Ode to Aunt Ra-ra

I am blessed to have two of the most beautiful, amazing sisters in the whole world who are both loving and adoring aunts. While on a recent trip to Lumberton I had the opportunity to hang out with my baby sister Laura for two whole days (when your in law school two days is a big deal)! Laura is a beautiful, smart, funny, charming, whitty, talented, kind young woman. In just a few short months she will be graduating from law school and joining the real world, where she already has a real job! Go Lu! If you couldn't already tell, I am VERY proud of my baby sister and the amazing young woman she has become. As you can tell from the pics Aunt Ra-ra has without a doubt established herself as the favorite aunt with both of her nephews. With Laura in the running, Gabi and I never had a chance! These two little boys are absolutely smitten with their Aunt Ra-ra and had quite a hard time sharing her.

Soccer Saturday

While visiting my family in Lumberton a few weeks ago, Liam and I were able to go and watch my nephew Ian play soccer one Saturday morning. Ian did an awesome job and had lots of fans there to cheer him on. Liam loved running around the fields and has a new love for the soccer ball.

A "Golden" Surprise

This past Thursday Liam, Sadie, and I awoke to quite a surprise waiting for us in our backyard. The neighbors four golden retrievers, yes FOUR GOLDEN RETRIEVERS had dug their way into our backyard! Sadie promptly started freaking out and had to be sent back upstairs but Liam absolutely loved all of the excitement going on outside and would not leave the window.

Awe & amazement

The 4 culprits and trying to figure out how the heck to get themselves out of this mess!

I ended up calling the neighbors who promptly came home and actually coaxed the dogs back through the hole instead of walking them around. We left that afternoon to go out of town for a few days but the neighbor said the dogs visited our backyard several more times over the weekend. Good thing we love our neighbors and don't mind their four-legged friends either!

Family Date Night with the Daily's

Recently we went on a family date night to PF Changs and Coldstone with our friends, the Daily's. Good friends, good food, good fun...what more can you ask for!

Liam with his best buddy Hunter! Hunter is practicing at being a "BIG" brother!

Biker Babe

With spring starting to peak out here in Virginia, we decided to use some of our tax refund money and purchased a new family toy, the Burley Honey Bee bike trailer. We have been wanting one of these since our little biking adventure in Switzerland last summer and finally had the opportunity to buy one. We have already had a great time using it here in Portsmouth and are really looking forward to this summer in DC.  Here are some photos from our most recent adventures:

The test run!

Our 1st Big Biking Adventure

We stopped at a great park for a picnic lunch and Liam enjoyed his first sandwich!

After lunch we had a great time at the play ground.

We rode about 14 miles and Liam got all tuckered out! I mean it is hardwork riding!

As a reward to Mommy, we stopped in Williamsburg for homemade frozen custard! Yummy, yummy!

Trader Joe's

Earlier this week my friend Shannon and I took our little ones on a little adventure to Trader Joe's! Trader Joe's is one of my absolute favorite places to visit. I always find something new and exciting to try and of course, I have to stock up on all of our favorites. Currently our favorite things to get are:

  • Roasted Red Pepper Hummus & Pita Chips (Liam's favorite)

  • Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Cookies (yummy, yummy)

  • General Tsoa's Stir-Fry Sauce (quick, easy dinner)

  • Blood Orange Italian Soda

  • Alphabet Cinnamon Cookies

  • Trader Giotto's Balsamic Vinagrette (my all-time favorite)

  • New thing - Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
Here are a couple of photos from our little adventure.

Liam loves going to TJ's because he gets a balloon!

After hitting the grocery we grabbed lunch at Moe's. Liam loved his big boy cup!

The kiddos were exhausted and both fell asleep as soon as we got in the car.

Do you love Trader Joe's too? What are your favorite things to get? We are always looking for something new to try!
