I can not believe that my sweet little baby boy is 15 months! He is quickly turning into a toddler and there are so many days when I wish I could just freeze him in time. He is absolutely precious and knows exactly what to do to melt his mommy's heart. Here are 15 things about Liam at 15 months for those of you that don't get to see him very often.
1. If you say "I love you" to him and he will blow you a kiss. (See what I'm talking about...melt his mommy's heart.)
2. Favorite snack: Pita Chips and Roasted Red Pepper Hummus. (He hears the bag come out of the pantry and comes running...seriously!)
3. Favorite lunch/dinner foods: dill pickles, hot dogs, cheese, yogurt (but only the kind in a tube), macaroni & cheese, clementines, and pretzels.
4. He is ALL BOY! He loves playing with balls and cars. He can walk and kick the ball and he loves to crawl around driving his cars, making a vroom-vroom noise.
5. He is learning his animal sounds and can consistently do cow, dog, and cat. His cat sound cracks me up because instead of "meow" he says "raaa". It sounds much more like a cat fight than a cute little kitten!
6. He can show you his head, ears, nose, mouth, tummy, pigs (feet), hands, and several other body parts.
7. He loves playing with Sadie however the feeling is not mutual. He attempts to play fetch with her but it always ends with them fighting over Sadie's one toy, a battle Sadie could easily win but seldom does...poor Sadie!
8. He is a man of many questions. Well actually just one question but he says it all the time, "What's that?" This question is always accompanied by him pointing at things around the room or out the window of the car.
9. He loves bath time and running around naked!
10. He is the "kissiest/loviest" little boy. He loves to blow kisses to everyone especially while riding in his stroller, he loves to give kisses and hugs to his little friends, and he loves to give kisses to his Mimi and Papa on through the phone! He will often times walk over to me when he is playing and just randomly give me a hug or a kiss. (Again, see what I am talking about...)
11. He can blow his nose on command which has been very helpful this winter since it seems that it is always running!
12. He loves to climb on any and everything especially the couch and to squeeze into tight spaces for which he normally gets stuck and ends up screaming for mama!
13. He is doing lots of sign language which really helps us to communicate with him. He can sign eat, drink, please, thank you, no-no, and several others. The craziest thing about it is he knows the right context in which to use the signs!
14. He likes playing with anything electronic especially cellphones and there is no fooling this kid. If it doesn't beep, light-up, or ring he wants nothing to do with it.
15. His heart is doing great! Yes, there are still more surgeries in his future but for now he is doing awesome! The doctor was very happy with his growth. He is in the 8th percentile for weight (up from the 6th) and the 50th for his height! We have cut back to taking only 1 medicine, 2 times a day. He is keeping up with and in a lot of areas excelling in his motor skills and cognitive development and for that we are so very thankful.
Alright, sorry to brag so much on my little munchkin but I am head over heels in love and of course think he is the smartest, funniest thing ever! We are so blessed to have him in our lives and thank God for him each and every day!
