Go Heels!

October 11th, Rolf and I skipped town and headed down to Chapel Hill for the UNC v. Notre Dame football game. My parents were able to get us awesome tickets on the 45 yard line, an opportunity we definitely could not pass up. We left Norfolk early on Saturday morning and headed south. Rolf has been working nights for this entire month and we have not really had much time to spend together so this was a great get away for us both. Chapel Hill is a little more than 3 hours from our house so it is not a bad drive at all. We got into town about 2 hours before game time which left us plenty of time for a stop at the new or at least new to us Student Stores, a walk through the pit and Tarheel Town, and even a swing through Lenoir. It was great being back on campus together, reminiscing about being there as students which seems like just yesterday and day dreaming about bringing our little guy to a game next fall or maybe even in catching a basketball game this Spring!

We had an awesome time at the game! We ran into a couple of old friends but it was really nice being there just the 2 of us with no real agenda or plans but being together. The weather could not have been more perfect. The Tarheels won in a much anticipated game against Notre Dame and were ranked for the first time since before we were even students at UNC.

It was truly an amazing weekend and a trip we look forward to making again soon with our future Tarheel!!
